Please note: When purchasing your Game Ready Rental online through OrthoRx, you will be contacted by our staff to coordinate your rental delivery date based on the date of surgery.  For hip and knee surgery your device will be delivered prior to surgery and it is advised that you bring the device with you to the hospital on your day of surgery.   For foot and ankle surgery your delivery date will be based on the date your cast is to be removed.

Using the Game Ready Cryotherapy Machine really helped with my recovery post surgery. Make sure to use it consistently to promote healing and bring down swelling. A must have for post surgery.

I rented the Game Ready Cryotherapy Machine based the recommendation from my surgeon to assist with my post hip replacement surgery. While I can't say how quickly or painlessly I would have recovered without the machine, I can say with confidence that the Game Ready made my recovery very comfortable. Swelling was minimal and pain was low. I used it 6 to 8 times per day for 2 weeks before returning it. My surgeon is very pleased with my progress. I recommend this machine.
Regarding the process for renting it, I found the company very responsive (within a few hours of my sending an email). I did use 2 500ml water bottles that I kept frozen instead of ice cubes and they worked! I suggest rotating 8 bottles in the freezer so you can always have some ready. It really helps having someone with switching out them since you're wearing the compression wrap. If you have a choice, rent it.
