It is very helpful. It helps to keep hips at the same level. It helps to avoid back pain. You can adjust it to different shoes. It made my white running shoes dirty from black rubber. It also slipped off of some of my shoes but usually it stayed well on the shoe.
I think it should always be provided with the boot that you need it for the injured leg. It would help to avoid many health issues related to bad posture
