Had Total Knee Replacement Dec 29/25. The Polar Wave Care machine was simple to use and the most vital piece of equipment in my post-op care. I used it initially 20 minutes on,40 minutes off for all my waking hours during the first 3 weeks post-op. It kept the swelling down and provided great pain relief. This eliminated the overuse of controlled pain meds. It allowed me to do the required exercise routine more comfortably thus reaching all physio goals as expected. I can’t imagine going thru this procedure without it. I am now 4 weeks post-op and continue to use the cold and compression cycles several times each day and always before and after my exercise program. I’m sure I will continue to use it for many weeks to come. I am having the second knee done in the Spring 2026 and am very glad I purchased this cryotherapy machine.
Breg Polar Care Wave with Pad
It’s been a terrific machine, very easy to use and maintain. It does a fantastic job icing around the knee, would definitely recommend this to anyone experiencing recovery after surgery.
A bag of peas would be far more effective. Regardless of what I filled the Polar Care Wave with; ice packs, ice cubes or a combination thereof, it never got cold enough.
This machine works really well and provides great relief after knee surgery. However the ice bags break easy which is unfortunate.
